Geraldine “Gerry” Clark Kodejs
April 29, 1947 - July 1, 2025
Geraldine “Gerry” Clark Kodejs came to College Park Baptist with her good friend Willie Holley sometime after 2004. Following Willie’s example, Gerry joined College Park Baptist but was never baptized. She continued to ask Pastor CAM McIntire to find her a river, and she would be baptized. Gerry brought her husband Edward “Tip” Tipton Kodejs to College Park and together they became loving members of the College Park family.
Gerry owned her business Gerry’s Kut & Kurland shared her talents on the fellowship committee, sung in the choir, and visited members and friends at home and in the nursing home. When someone needed a haircut or a style, she was there, always ready to come into the home and help. Gerry and Tip joined many members of the College Park family in
supporting the Danville Braves and were members of the Danville Booster Club.
Gerry is survived by her sister Susan Rebecca Clark Burnette of Danville and Halifax County, one nephew, Shannon Wade Clark and wife Kelly of Halifax and one grandnephew, Justin Wade Clark of Halifax.
A loving friend, a sweet Christian woman, and a true sister in Christ.

Farewell
The Personnel Committee shares with gratitude and sadness that our most loved, trusted, and valued Office Manager April Sims will be leaving this position by July 21.
Since April 2018, April has faithfully served our church family with dedication and excellence. She has now accepted a full-time administrative property management position in a local realty office. April has graciously agreed to assist in the transition by supporting the search for the new Office Manager and will train this individual to provide the exceptional service our congregation has experienced during April’s tenure.
April has been the heart of our office – keeping us connected, informed, and supported. We are grateful for the work and care that April invested in every encounter and task. Her thoughtful presence, leadership, and tireless commitment have made a lasting impact on every person and project she touched. She has been the glue that held us all together, provided the needed communication, listened to us as we explored options, and helped in the implementation of our ideas.
April will be missed but will always be a part of us. We know you will join us in expressing your appreciation and wishing her all the best in this exciting new chapter in her life.
Your Personnel Committee will be seeking applications for the part-time Office Manager position and is available to discuss the position with you at any time.
