If you have any news that you would like to share with your church family, please call or email the information to the church office by Tuesday, May 27.
Church Projects
Have you seen something on the church grounds or with the church building that needs to be corrected, updated, or improved? If so, please share your ideas by writing the need on a card and dropping it in the box located in the foyer. We will have an opportunity to complete some of the projects during June.
Women’s Bible Study
The Women’s Bible Study will meet Tuesday, May 27, at 2:30 p.m. in the church fellowship hall to continue their study of the Gospel of John. The group will discuss John chapters 13 and 14 using the study guides distributed last week. All women at College Park and their friends are welcome to attend.
May Birthdays


Sydney Lackey
Sydney will graduate on May 30th from GWHS as a Graduate of Distinction. She plans to attend the University of Virginia and major in Speech-Language Pathology while pursuing a minor in Dance.
Sophie Pinekenstein
Sophie will graduate from Galileo Magnet High School on May 30th. She will be attending Old Dominion University and will be majoring in Criminology & Sociology.
Daniel Pritchard
Daniel will graduate from Gretna High School on May 23rd.


The annual “Stamp Out Hunger” food drive for God’s Storehouse will be held on Saturday, May 10. Letter carriers in Danville and Pittsylvania County will collect non-perishable food items to support God’s Storehouse food pantry. Everyone is invited to place a bag of food at their mailbox!
God Storehouse needs lots of volunteers to make this event a success. Would you like to volunteer? If so, let Martha Walker know and she will register you with God's Storehouse as a volunteer. Consider volunteering for one of the day's opportunities:
Food pick-up in neighborhoods (need a truck or SUV) 10:00am - 2pm
Come to the post office at 10am. Volunteers will be assigned a route and will go ahead of the Postal Workers or behind them to pick up donations at the mailboxes.
Food collected will be taken to God’s Storehouse
Sort & receive food at Post Office 12:30pm - 2:30pm
Sort & receive food at Post Office 2:30pm - 4:30pm
Sort & receive food at Post Office 4:30pm - 6:30pm
Volunteers will be helping unload the postal worker's trucks, filling crates/boxes to be weighed and helping load trucks to bring the food back to God’s Storehouse.
At God’s Storehouse, volunteers will be checking dates and sorting the food received.

Deacon of the Month
Every month College Park Baptist Church highlights one of our outstanding deacons for their enthusiasm, team spirit, and devotion to cause.
